    Indore Composite gets Kunal Asar as head-HR

    Indore Composite, a manufacturer of advanced composite materials and cable protection solutions, has appointed Kunal Asar as head–human resources. In his new role, he will lead the company’s people strategy, talent management, leadership development, organisational culture, and HR transformation initiatives as Indore Composite accelerates its next phase of growth.

    Asar brings over 17 years of experience across manufacturing, specialty chemicals, biotechnology, industrial products, and engineering. His expertise spans strategic HR, HR business partnering, industrial relations, organisational development, talent management, culture transformation, employee engagement, leadership development, workforce planning, and operational excellence.

    Prior to joining Indore Composite, Asar spent nearly four years with Galaxy Surfactants, most recently serving as senior manager – people energy (human resources). There, he led HR across multiple manufacturing locations and five operational facilities, driving employee relations, employee engagement, people budgeting, organisational effectiveness, and strategic business partnering.

    Earlier, he spent almost five years with Novonesis (formerly Novozymes), where he served as partner–people and organisation (human resources) and specialist – people and organisation (human resources). As HR business partner for operations, supply and quality, he supported business expansion, acquisitions, culture integration, operational excellence, and strategic HR delivery. He also played a key role as site HR lead in establishing a greenfield industrial enzymes manufacturing facility in Mumbai.
    Before that, Asar spent over four years with Godrej & Boyce. During this period, he managed manufacturing HR operations, industrial relations, union management, capability development, statutory compliance, organisational development, and supported the establishment of a new R&D facility.

    He began his HR career with Cosmo Films, where he contributed to implementing enterprise HR technology platforms and redesigning employee lifecycle processes, followed by an early stint at Shell Transource – Calibehr, where he helped build HR systems, recruitment processes, and people practices for a growing organisation.

    Asar holds a Master of Management Studies (MMS) in Human Resources from NCRD Sterling Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science.
