The Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam (HKRN) portal was launched on 1 November 2021. The aim of this initiative was to streamline outsourcing recruitment online. It’s designed to create job opportunities for unemployed people in the state.
All outsourcing recruitments in Haryana go through this portal, making the application process transparent and accessible online. Once hired, candidates also receive training to improve their skills.
Employees under HKRN enjoy benefits such as the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). This initiative aims to end contract labour practices and safeguard workers from exploitation. The portal also hosts skill-development tests regularly, helping youth enhance their skills for future job prospects.
The HKRN follows clear principles in selecting youth; the departments can adjust their requests for employees before selection. Once selected, the department must ensure the selected employees join. Moreover, job opportunities are limited to youth in the district and relevant block, without extending beyond district borders.
Furthermore, under the current government’s efforts, common entrance tests (CET) were introduced to simplify the selection of people for group C and D jobs. This test focuses on selecting candidates based on their merit, removing the need for interviews and making sure only the most deserving candidates are selected.
