Many companies in India have announced a ‘work from anywhere’ policy, and Meesho has also decided to follow the trend. The online retail company has announced its boundaryless workplace model. In other words, Meesho has decided to decentralise its workplace by giving a choice to employees, to select where they wish to work from — whether from the office, home or any other location.

While the Company will remain headquartered in Bangalore, it will set up satellite offices in locations, where it has the higher talent density.

Apart from that, the Company has also announced and highlighted various other initiatives for its employees. Recently, the Company took the initiative to make the workplace more inclusive by announcing the 30-week gender-neutral parental leave policy, gender reassignment leave and the 10-day reset and recharge policy. To support working parents, Meesho will sponsor day care facilities for employees with children below six years of age. This can also be availed during official travels to Meesho’s head office in Bangalore.

“Driven by our mantra to build a people-centric workplace, Meesho has always ensured employees are at the core of everything we do. We have been championing many industry-first initiatives that have redefined conventional workplace norms and this new policy is a step in that direction. We have studied multiple future of work models to arrive at this novel boundaryless approach. In the future, this will also give talent across the globe an opportunity to build for Bharat with Meesho,” says Ashish Kumar Singh, CHRO, Meesho.

The company is also creating a culture of collaboration, bonding and team building by introducing annual ‘workations’ in locations such as Goa, Shimla and Manali. The Company has also introduced virtual boot camps for new joinees and ‘meet and greet’ sessions to understand the culture of the company.
