MyGate, India’s community app, is all set to expand its 130-strong team by 200. The new hires, who will join over the fourth quarter of 2021-22, across India, will help to grow the new business verticals, such as ‘community and brand engagement’ and ‘home services’.

Most of the new talent will be part of the engineering and product departments, based in Bengaluru.

Abhishek Kumar, COO & co-founder, MyGate, admits that, “Given the vast room for growth in the space, and our positive results in new areas, we are excited to grow the team and quickly work toward solving the many challenges that lie ahead of us.”

In spite of the pandemic, in the last year, MyGate has added 10,000 housing societies and grown its presence to 25,000 societies across over 25 cities.

App usage is at an all-time high with 3.8 million daily approval requests and almost Rs 4 crore in daily society-maintenance collections.

MyGate’s new verticals have also shown strong growth. It has begun working with hundreds of brands on its brand engagement vertical and will also build its home services vertical. It already has 10 per cent daily active users in Bengaluru exploring ‘home services’ on the app.

Amritesh Shukla, head of human resources, MyGate, reveals that the tech company has “created a strong learning environment”, which provides its team “with the unique opportunity to work in multiple domains, such as community management, fintech and proptech, and deliver a product that improves the lives of over 3.5 million homes many times every day.”

Founded in 2016, the community app simplifies urban living for over 3.5 million homes in 25,000+ housing societies.
