    Paytm rolls out 145 offers to freshers in tier 1 colleges

    One97 communications which owns the Paytm brand has rolled out 145 offers to freshers from tier one colleges to strengthen its team and attract the best of talent. As per the company announcement, they claim to emerge as the top fintech recruiter in IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, and many others.

    In this major hiring spree of freshers, Paytm is majorly looking to fill roles in growth and product across all business verticals such as lending, insurance, wealth management and offline payments.

    In the final placement process, Paytm has made 20 job offers in IIM-Ahmedabad. Moreover, Paytm recruited 20 students from the Indian School of Business-Hyderabad, 18 from the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta and 16 from the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore.

    As per the company, it has rolled out another 70 offers at colleges such as Xavier School of Management-Jamshedpur, Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow, Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode, Management Development Institute-Gurgaon, and Faculty of Management Studies-Delhi. Paytm will further hire freshers from other top colleges of India.

    “We are strengthening our teams across businesses with young talent, who will contribute to the company’s growth journey and drive greater scale. Our innovative and entrepreneurial work environment, which encourages people to grow individually as well,” shares a company spokesperson.

    All placement interviews were held virtually and Paytm also conducted pre-placement talks where Varun Sridhar, CEO, Paytm Money interacted with more than 2000 students.

    The company is proud to have one of the largest ESOP pools in the country, which is a way to recognise and retain its key employees.
