5% to 12% hike plus performance bonus for ReNew Power staff

The renewable energy company also plans to expand its workforce by 10% and has already resumed work at its sites, providing work to labourers

While most companies are considering pay cuts and layoffs to stay afloat amidst the lockdown, ReNew Power has announced up to 12 per cent hike in salary for its staff and also promoted its executives w.e.f April 2020. In addition, the Company has distributed the annual performance-linked bonus to its employees.

This is the renewable energy company’s way of appreciating the contribution of its staff in ensuring the continuation of operations despite the challenges brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. The hike varies, based on incomes and categories, with employees getting five per cent to 12 per cent increments, across locations.

ReNew Power wishes to ensure that its employees do not face any financial hardships, and hopes to get back on track as the country’s economy shows signs of slow recovery.

The power company has stated that it will honour the job offers made by it to students across various campuses in early 2020. It wishes to go ahead with its hiring plans for various verticals too. If all goes well, the Company’s workforce will expand by 10 per cent. ReNew intends to onboard the new hires digitally, given the pandemic situation and related restrictions. Work has also resumed at all the Company’s project sites, providing labourers a means to earn their livelihood.

Quite recently, ReNew Power acquired the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning company, Climate Connect, adding to its portfolio of services.
