State Bank of India (SBI) and non-profit education platform, edX, are collaborating to develop the skill sets of interested learners to help their careers grow in this fast-paced competitive world. As part of this partnership, SBI will offer its Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on the edX platform with effect from November 2020.

At first three courses will be offered — Unleashing Creativity at the Workplace, Relationship Marketing Strategy for Financial Services and Conflict Resolution. Each of these courses will last for four to six weeks, with students expected to spend two to three hours per week per course. No specific qualification is necessary for interested learners to apply for these coures.

These courses have been curated and designed by experienced and practising bankers with excellent academic credentials.

As Dinesh Khara, chairman, State Bank of India, rightly said, these courses will allow “any time, anywhere learning” and will “benefit millions of learners, career-oriented individuals, and organisations across the globe.”

Anant Agarwal, CEO, edX, and Professor at MIT shared that “SBI has been successfully using edX for business as part of their workforce development initiatives.”
