Simpl, a one-tap checkout app, has announced that it’ll hire 250 employees this year across different verticals. It will be expanding its engineering team for which it plans to hire candidates from across the country. The Company also aims to promote gender diversity at the workplace, and improve the ratio of male engineers to women engineers.
Nitya Sharma, co-founder of Simpl said that the Company is dedicated to hiring talent with similar values, diverse backgrounds, a passion for change, and interest to make the world a better place. A strong technology and engineering team is going to help the Company scale up the business and ensure that it continues to provide excellent services to its customers, she adds.
Simpl has tripled its workforce to 100 employees in the past 18 months. Recently, it announced its partnership with SugarBox Networks, a networking service that works to resolve the ever-increasing demand and limitation of networks across the country and elsewhere. The partnership will help Simpl increase cart conversions and reduce dependence on cash on delivery (COD) orders, permitting merchants to foster good relationships with consumers.
Simpl’s long-term goal is to simplify digital transformation in the payments sector in India. Launched in 2015, it has acquired seven million users and over 10 thousand merchants. It has successfully carried out 49 million transactions in seven years. It has headquarters in Bangalore, and global teams in three countries across the world.
