In a move aligned with Tata power renewable energy’s (TPREL) ambitious growth plans, the company has announced its intention to double its workforce by hiring 2,500 individuals in the upcoming fiscal year. This strategic decision comes as TPREL aims to accelerate its expansion efforts and undertake new projects in the renewable energy sector.
TPREL has already made headlines this year with its commitment to establish India’s first group captive solar plant for a residential society in Mumbai. Additionally, the company recently entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata power Delhi distribution (Tata power-DDL) for a substantial 510-megawatt hybrid project.
Building on its commitment to sustainable energy, TPREL signed a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) last July with the Tamil Nadu government. The agreement involves a substantial investment of approximately Rs 3,000 crore to establish a state-of-the-art 4 gigawatt solar cell and 4 gigawatt solar module manufacturing plant in the Tirunelveli district.
To support these ventures, TPREL will be actively recruiting individuals with specialised expertise in various areas such as solar cell and solar module manufacturing, solar and wind project management, operations and maintenance, supply chain management, engineering and technology, as well as business development.
These new roles will be distributed across multiple business segments, including utility scale, group captive, rooftop solar, and EV charging divisions, as TPREL strives to strengthen its presence in the renewable energy industry and contribute to India’s sustainable future.
