Marking his decade-long association with Marriott International, Viral Jasani has been appointed director of human resources, The Westin Mumbai, Garden City. He moves from Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway Road, where he was director-human resources for over two years.
With more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality space, Jasani began his professional journey with Taj President, Mumbai, in 2006. He joined as human resource assistant and was soon elevated to the role of human resources coordinator. By 2008, he was human resources executive, Taj President Mumbai and Taj Blue Diamond Pune. His last-held position at Taj Hotels was that of assistant manager-human resources and training, The Gateway Ahmedabad.
After a successful four-year tenure with Taj Hotels, Jasani moved to HMSHost, the travel dining brand, as manager, human resources for a short stint of seven months.
From 2011 to 2013, he was associated with The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, Mumbai, as assistant manager-human resources.
It was in the year 2013 that Jasani moved to Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan. Two years into playing human resources manager, he was back in Mumbai. This time he took the role of senior manager-human resource services, India, Marriott Hotels India (corporate office, South Asia).
From 2019 to 2021, he was at Sheraton Grand Pune, as director-human resources. Almost three years later, he moved to Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway Road, as full-time director, HR.
