Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, has announced several vacancies and is also offering good salaries, of up to Rs 50,000 a month for some posts. It has advertised 34 posts under the Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) and SWAYAM PRABHA projects, which are funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Under SWAYAM, professors and faculties of centrally-funded institutions, such as IITs, IIMs and central universities will offer online courses to Indian citizens.

The vacancies announced include three graphic artists, five IT consultants, one project associate, two junior IT consultants, one junior consultant, two account assistants, three DEOs, two cameramen, two multimedia programmers, eight video editors, and two graphic artists.
The pay scale for video editors is Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000 a month. Cameramen can earn anywhere between Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 a month. Graphic artists can also earn a maximum of Rs 50,000 a month. Multimedia programmers are offered between Rs 25,000 to Rs 45,000 per month. Graphic artists are offered a minimum of Rs 30,000 whereas an IT consultant can earn a minimum of Rs 35000 and a maximum of Rs 45,000. Project associates will be offered Rs 35,000, whereas junior IT consultants can earn between Rs 25,000 and Rs 35,000 every month. Account assistants are also being offered a handsome Rs 30,000 a month.
