Anjali Chatterjee has been appointed as the CHRO, AirAsia, India. Prior to this role, Chatterjee was serving as the VP-HR at Tata Communications. She served the longest stint of her career— 15 years— at Tata Communications, where she joined in 2003. There, she was responsible for global talent management, learning and development and employee engagement.
Chatterjee is replacing Pawan Setty, who has moved into a global role in Malaysia in the month of February.
With this appointment, Chatterjee, who was earlier based out of Mumbai has now shifted base to Bangalore.
With a total experience of 24 years in HR, Chatterjee has worked with companies, such as LG Electronics and Jet Airways. She has worked in the areas of HR consultancy, telecom and consumer electronics.
After completing her master’s in HR management and services, she started her career with ABC Consultants. Within two years, she became a manager in recruitment. She then joined LG electronics as the manager-HR and also took care of learning and development at the organisation.
She worked with LG for two years before moving to Jet Airways as the manager- HR. After a brief two-year stint at Jet, Chatterjee joined Zip Telecom as the senior HR manager.
