    Deepak Deshpande named CHRO at Netmagic Solutions

    Prior to this, he was senior VP & head -HR, and helped scale up the organisation and focussed on managing organisational transition.

    Netmagic Solutions, a provider of managed hosting and cloud services, a subsidiary of NTT Communications, has recently elevated Deepak Deshpande as chief human resource officer. Prior to this, Deshpande was senior vice president & head – human resources and was responsible for partnering with businesses with a larger focus on managing organisational transition.

    He played a significant role in scaling up the organisation in light of a couple of rounds of funding – namely Fidelity, Nexus in 2008 and Cisco, Nokia in 2010 and then NTT in 2012. Since the time he joined Netmagic in 2007, he has been religiously facilitating the vision and mission of his organisation, that is – ‘To be India’s Leading and Most Admired IT Managed Services Company’ and ‘Employer of Choice’, respectively.

    Before joining Netmagic, Deshpande was the head-HR at Lionbridge Technologies. He has also worked with SYSTIME, Trigyn Technologies, BlueStar Infotech, Datamatics, Tata Consultancy Services and Larsen & Toubro in the past.

    Deshpande is actively associated with the HR movement in IT/ITES companies in western India. He is also the past president and mentor of HR Infotech Association. Currently, he is on NASSCOM’s Steering Committee for the western region, working on diversity and inclusion. He is the co-chairman of the HRD Committee of the Indian Merchant’s Chamber (IMC). Deshpande was on the Board of the Executive Committee of National HRD Network, Mumbai chapter earlier and is also an active Rotarian and past president of the Rotary Club of Bombay Powai.

    Deshpande, a postgraduate in electronics as well as business administration also holds a research degree in electronics (MPhil). An IIM-A alumnus, he completed his PhD in management. Having completed an SEI P-CMM course by Carnegie Mellon University, USA, he has earned a postgraduate diploma in marketing management and distance education and general management.
