    Roshin Mascarenhas is head-talent acquisition, South Asia, GroupM

    GroupM, the media investment company, has appointed Roshin Mascarenhas as the head – talent acquisition, South Asia. Mascarenhas moves from Network18 Media & Investments where she spent the last nine months as talent magnet.

    Mascarenhas served as consultant for a year at Personnel Search Services in the initial part of her career, in 2002, before she completed a short stint with AFL Logistics as assistant manager – recruitments from 2004 to 2005.

    From 2005 to 2011, she was associated with ABC Consultants as client manager – FMCG. After a stint that lasted more than five years, she moved to The Walt Disney Company, as staffing manager in February, 2011. She successfully handled end-to-end recruitment process and ensured that the company hired the best quality talent for India, for two years, based out of Mumbai.

    Her next stop was Viacom18 Media, where she joined as head of talent acquisition in June 2013. For more than two years, she ensured effective and efficient talent-acquisition processes by providing high quality candidate flow for the key leadership positions, as well as for all open positions across all the businesses of Viacom18.

    She then launched her own community welfare initiative called Sparkle, with the objective of inspiring people to believe that the ability to heal and transform lies within each individual.

    In November 2015, she joined the Aditya Birla Group, as talent acquisition head – Aditya Birla Management Corporation. Within a month, she was elevated to centre of excellence, group staffing, group human resources. For a year and a half she successfully handled the design, launch and adoption of new programmes across all the group businesses.

    After spending over three and a half years at Aditya Birla, she moved to Network18 Media to take care of talent acquisition(digital business). From 2019 to 2023, she was head of talent acquisition, Viacom18 Media. From April 2023 onwards, she was serving a talent magnet for Network18 Media & Investments.

    Known for her infectious smile and positive attitude, Mascarenhas will prove to be an asset to GroupM, which is WPP’s media investment group. HRKatha wishes her all the best in her new assignment.
