SBI Mutual Fund has hired Rajat Grover as its CHRO, to lead the HR function for the firm. With close to 19 years of experience, Grover specialises in leading HR in the BFSI industry.

Prior to this role, Grover was the general manager and head of HRBP at Fullerton India. In this role, Grover was responsible for talent management and engagement, talent acquisition and delivering cutting-edge people services across all businesses in India.

Grover has also worked for Yes Bank as its president – HR, where he was responsible for leading a wide array of HR business partnering roles. During his over ten-year long stint at Yes Bank, Grover not only served in many HR roles, but managed to climb the corporate ladder successfully.

After completing his PGDHRM from the Symbiosis International University, he joined IDBI Bank, where he became regional HR manager, handling branch banking HR for the eastern and western zones. After a year, he was promoted to the role of zonal HR manager for the western region.

Seeking to challenge himself, he then moved into the retail space by joining Reliance Retail as manager-HR and SAP HCM functional consultant. Having entered the organisation at its nascent stage, he got the opportunity to work on the implementation of the SAP e-recruitment system.

After spending more than a year with Reliance Retail, he joined Yes Bank, where he served the longest tenure of his career.

Being an SAP HCM functional consultant, Grover possesses immense knowledge of digitisation and digitalisation. He firmly believes in a paperless HR department, with maximum use of automation, robotic processing and artificial intelligence.
