Siemens Smart Infrastructure has appointed Apeksha Jain as its new head-human resources. Jain brings over 15 years of expertise in the realms of food and beverages, manufacturing, and telecommunications to her new role.

Prior to this, Jain was associated with Godrej Chemicals as its head-HR since 2019. During her tenure, she successfully led people and culture initiatives for the past five years before concluding her responsibilities earlier this month.

Furthermore, her professional journey includes diverse roles at PepsiCo, Vodafone, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Virgin Mobile, and Impetus Technologies.

Jain started her career with Impetus Technologies, a software company, where she joined as a summer intern in the year 2008, for four months. Then she moved to Virgin Mobile as a trainee for a year.

In 2010, she joined Vodafone as its area sales manager, followed by a short stint at Unilever as a PepsiCo Extern in its JV with PepsiCo, in the year 2017, for three months. This gave her enhanced exposure and learning opportunities.

Her longest stint was with PepsiCo where she contributed to talent acquisition, campus leadership, served as a senior HR business partner, talent acquisition and campus lead-India, and held the position of plant HR head. She joined the company in 2011-2019.

Jain’s key strengths encompass cultural transformation, talent strategy, organisational design, strategic human resources leadership, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, as well as social influence.

On the academic front, Jain holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering (computer science) , from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, and an MBA degree in human resources from ICFAI Business School.

She also did a I LEAP programme in general management from IIM Ahmedabad, and a young leaders programme in strategic HR leadership and general management from XLRI Jamshedpur.
