Everest Group has appointed Swapna Allapur as chief human resource officer.
An alumna of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Allapur comes with over 25 years of extensive experience as HRBP, talent management, talent acquisition, change management, organisation development, employee relations, shared services, global mobility and digital transformation.
In her new assignment at the global research firm — which focuses on strategic IT, business services, engineering services and sourcing — Allapur will lead the HR strategy and operations for the Group, which has a 400-strong global workforce, across the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe and India.
Having started her career with HMT as human resource development officer in 1991, Allapur moved to Warner Lambert in 1995, as personnel manager. After less than four years, she worked on a research project at Carnegie Mellon University as research associate for a year.
In 2001, she was appointed manager – HR, at Mascon Global. After a short one-year stint, it was time for her to move on to Satyam Computer Services as deputy general manager – HR. Two years later, she moved on to Hexaware Technologies as lead talent management & OD (consultant).
Allapur’s next stop was Sun Life Financial, where she joined as associate director – human resources in 2007. Based out of Boston, she was partnered with business and functional groups to design and implement HR initiatives for all sites of the US Service Centre for two years.
By 2014, she was vice president – talent acquisition and mobility, for Deloitte India (Offices of the US).
In 2010, she joined Deloitte US India Offices as vice president – campus recruitment and HR leader Bangalore location. She lead the campus programmes for Deloitte across all functions, heading a team of over 350 HR professionals delivering HR services for the US and India offices. As HR shared services leader, she provided end-to-end business support in sourcing and hiring across all levels.
Her last position at Deloitte India was that of vice president, wherein she served as a strategic partner working across 17 members firms, spread across 150 countries.
Known for her proactiveness and leadership qualities, Allapur will be an asset to the Everest Group, where she will focus on nurturing and retaining the growing global workforce.
