The summer placement for the human resource management (HRM) & Labour Relations (LR) batch of 2023-25 at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai saw all the participants being placed. The highest stipend offered was Rs 4.5 lakh for two months, with 66 out of the total batch of 71 being offered a stipend of Rs 2 lakh and above.
The season witnessed participation from GE Healthcare, Asian Paints, Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Nestle, Shell, ITC, Flipkart, Bajaj Auto, Citi and other regular recruiters.
The average stipend of the top 10 and 25 per cent was Rs 4 lakhs and Rs 3 lakhs, respectively. The mean stipend stood at Rs 2.82 lakhs registering an increase of 7.63 per cent over the previous year.
Maximum number of offers came from the Aditya Birla Group followed by Accenture, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Citi and ITC.
Most of the students will be placed with FMCG companies for internship, followed by manufacturing, conglomerates and pharmaceutical firms.
Of the 71 students who participated, 25 were women. A total of 39 companies made offers.
This season saw nine first-time recruiters, namely BetterPlace, CK Birla Group, Godrej Group, Höganäs, Pine Labs, Shell, Simpl, SKF and VIP Industries.
After a gap, some companies were back to recruit interns, including Cipla, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages,Larsen & Toubro, RPG Group, and Tata Electronics.
