Mahindra University’s Ecole Centrale School of Engineering (MEC), Hyderabad, has announced the eligibility criterion for admissions to its four-year BTech programme at its Hyderabad campus, for the academic session 2020-2024. The last date to apply is August 15, 2020. Through initial online counselling, eligible students will be informed about the branches available. More details are available on www.mechyd.ac.in

Established with support from industry and academia, MEC’s course curriculum is equipped to ensure that the students emerge as industry-ready engineers with ace-quality engineering education.

Keeping in mind how the pandemic has led to the cancellation and rescheduling of JEE Mains, SAT and other exams, MEC has included the Boards results in the eligibility criteria to ensure that eligible students are able to apply without any worry.

Students who have qualified the JEE Main examination and are eligible for the JEE Advanced 2020 will be able to apply. Those who have valid SAT subject test scores or SAT scores or ACT scores or Class 10+2 exams result (with 80 per cent or equivalent grade cumulatively in mathematics, physics and chemistry Subjects in 10+2 from any statutory board) are also eligible.

A total of 400 seats are available in the BTech programme in seven academic disciplines — computer science & engineering, electrical & electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, artificial intelligence, electronics & computer engineering, and computation & mathematics.

The undergraduate programmes in engineering are interdisciplinary in nature and aim to ensure that students are able to adapt to global engineering challenges and prove to be assets to modern multinational organisations.

With its academic partnerships with global institutions — including Babson College and University of Florida, US, as well as Centrale Supelec and Groupe des Ecoles Centrale, France — it offers meaningful internships and semester exchange.

Established in 2014, MEC became part of the Mahindra University w.e.f. 2020-21.
