    Highest stipend of Rs 5 lakhs at TISS Mumbai, HRM & LR, summer placements

    The top 25% saw average stipend of Rs 4.49 lakhs for two months

    The summer placement process for Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, for Human Resource Management and Labour Relations (HRM & LR) batch 2025-27 (batch of 66) saw 100 per cent of the participants beings placed successfully. In fact, the highest stipend stood at a whopping Rs 5 Lakhs for two months! The average stipend of the top 10 per cent and the top 25 per cent was Rs 4.64 lakhs and Rs 4.49 lakhs for two months, respectively.

    The placement process,  which was completed in September 2025, saw the regular brands in attendance, including big names such as Accenture, Godrej, Hindustan Unilever, Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Citi, RPG Group, Reliance Industries, Nestle and TAS. Amongst the first=time recruiters were Airtel, Novartis, PepsiCo and Vodafone Idea .

    The average stipend of the top 50 per cent of the batch was Rs 4.15 lakhs for two months, while the mean stipend stood at Rs 3.47 lakhs for two months and the median stipend was Rs 3.5 lakhs for two months. A whopping 85 per cent of the batch received a stipend of at least Rs 2 lakhs (for two months), while 76 per cent of the batch received a stipend of Rs 3 Lakhs and above for two months.

    These numbers are reportedly the highest in the history of TISS.

    The maximum offers were made by Bajaj Auto, with Accenture following second, followed by AdityaBirla Group, Accenture Strategy, Airtel, Citi, and Novartis.

    The maximum internships have been offered in manufacturing, followed by FMCG/FMCD, conglomerate, BFSI, telecommunication, and IT/ITES.
