MoEngage, the customer-engagement platform, has hired Veena Satish as its new vice president – people and culture. Satish will step into the shoes of Jitender Panihar who was leading the people strategy at MoEngage for the last three years.

Prior to this appointment, Satish was the director – HR at Walmart Global Tech India for over six years. She comes with more than two decades of experience in HR working for various known brands.

MoEngage will use her expertise to streamline organisational processes and create a more engaging work experience for its teams and employees. Satish will also spearhead the DE&I agenda for the Company to make it a global employer of choice.

Excited to be a part of a rapidly growing organisation, Satish looks forward “to strengthening and driving this scale globally” and “to working towards growth in the exciting times ahead.”

Panihar, on the other hand, has moved on from MoEngage. Speaking with HRKatha, Panihar says that he is yet to decide on his next assignment. Having worked with MoEngage for close to three years, Panihar helped the Company to grow its team from 60 members to over 500, and scale up massively.

In the initial phase of her career, Satish worked with companies such as HPE, CISCO, Kodimac, Trigent Technologies and Ness Technologies, to honing her skills in the HR domain. In 2013, she joined Bloom Energy, a clean and renewable energy solutions company as HR lead. There, she played a critical role in HR transformation and developed the people strategy around hiring, motivating and setting up rewards systems.

Welcoming Satish into the MoEngage family, Raviteja Dodda, CEO and co-founder, MoEngage says, “this is an exciting time for us”. He looks forward to Satish “taking charge of our people and culture initiatives” at MoEngage.
