    Hiring news: Young professionals, engineering trainees in demand

    Niti Aayog is looking for young professionals and consultants to fill 28 vacancies. These are contractual posts for a fixed period of two years. The same may be extended by a year or so at a time, for not more than five years. The job can, however, be terminated at any time.

    Those aged 45 or below and keen to join may apply via the official website at niti.gov.in, before 12 October. For the six consultant posts, a postgraduate or equivalent degree in science, economics, statistics, operation research, public policy, development studies, business administration, management, or BE, BTech or MBBS or LLB or CA or ICWA or any professional degree, after graduation or four years of study post passing class 12 is a must. At least three years of relevant work experience is required. The upper age limit for this post is 45 years.

    For the post of young professionals, applicants must possess a postgraduate degree or equivalent in science, economics, statistics, operation research, public policy, development studies, business administration, management, or BE, BTech or MBBS or LLB or CA or ICWA or any professional degree earned after study of 4 years or more acquired after class 12. A year’s professional experience is a must. Those over 32 years are not eligible.

    Applications have also been invited by the Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) from Indian nationals for the contractual posts of GM (P&BD), JGM (design) and DGM (design). Those selected may earn anywhere between Rs 90,000 and Rs 2,25,000. Those below 40 or above 55 may not apply.

    Interested candidates may visit https://careers.chennaimetrorail.org/ and apply before 24 September.

    Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is looking for candidates to fill the 150 posts of engineer trainees (in civil, mechanical, IT, electrical, chemical and metallurgy) and executive trainees (in finance and HR). Those interested may apply via BHEL’s official website before 4 October.
