After spending over a decade with Asian Paints, Subhashis Sinha has joined TBZ- The Original, as CHRO.
An alumnus of IIM Indore and SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Sinha began his professional journey with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, as agency manager, back in 2003. Then he moved to Metlife, where he was associated with the company for close to four years. He started his stint as training manager after which he took on the role of area training manager – eastern region, with Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa and Kolkata being his areas of operation. A little over a year into this role, he was elevated to regional training manager and sales HR, eastern region.
In 2008, Sinha joined Odyssey Training and Management Consultants, as learning and development consultant for a year and a half. His responsibilities included conceptualising and creating learning strategy and content for various corporate houses.
From 2011 to 2012, he was a doctoral scholar at IIM-Indore.
It was in 2012 that Sinha’s decade-long association with Asian Paints began. He joined as corporate HR manager – learning and development, and within three years, was elevated to head – HR for the Company’s oldest plant at Ankleshwar, Gujarat. There, he led the human resources & industrial relations function of a 2000-crore plant setup, which had 1200 employee on and off the rolls.
By 2018, Sinha was corporate HR – talent management, organisation development and diversity, equity and inclusion. For over four years, he attempted to create an ecosystem where learning and development was firmly rooted in the organisational context and the learning principles were leveraged to impact organisation effectiveness meaningfully.
Known to be a diligent HR professional who empowered and pushed the team to think and do differently, he is appreciated for his ability to come up with innovative solutions to difficult organisational problems.
