Plum, an insurtech company, has recently appointed Priya Sunil as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). In this new capacity, Sunil will build on Plum’s ideology and spearhead its HR function to help the company create a place where talent thrives and flourishes.

Prior to this, she was associated with The/Nudge Institute as its head-people & culture. She joined the organisation in the year 2021.

Backed by over 17 years of extensive experience in talent management and organisational development, Sunil brings a wealth of expertise to Plum. Her aim will be to create a culture where continuous learning and growth are paramount, empowering employees to bring their truest selves to work while contributing significantly to the organisation’s success.

Her strengths lie in talent strategy, acquisition, talent development, building culture, people development, designing learning spaces, coaching and facilitation. She’s passionate about education and health, two causes that have been central to her work with renowned non-profits such as The Akanksha Foundation, Teach For India, and The/Nudge Institute.

She has also done short stints with Capgemini and Human Factors International.

Speaking on her appointment, Abhishek Poddar, co-founder and CEO, Plum, emphasised, “Her expertise in fostering an empowering and inclusive workplace culture will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate.”

Sunil’s “vision for Plum is to be the destination for top talent, an organisation that stands for innovation in people practices, where employees feel valued, inspired, and are able to realise their fullest potential.”
A psychology graduate from Jain Hind College, Mumbai, she also holds a master’s degree in applied social psychology.
