Everest Group, a global research and advisory services company, has announced the elevation of Jimit Arora to the position of chief executive officer. Arora was earlier managing partner. His association with the Group began back in October 2005, when he joined as senior analyst in Gurgaon.

By 2008, he was promoted to practice director, a role that saw him working out of New York City. Four years into this role, he was elevated once again, to vice president. Three years later came another promotion which put him in the position of partner, in February 2016.

It was in January last year, that is, 2024 that he was appointed managing partner. In this role, he spearheaded the firm’s enterprise services practice, guiding a team of analysts dedicated to addressing the needs of Fortune 500 companies, in the process providing guidance to the world’s leading organisations.

Now, starting 1 February, 2025 he will step into the shoes of Peter Bendor-Samuel, who founded Everest Group and served as CEO since 1991. Samuel will now assume the role of founder and executive chairman.

Arora, was implementation associate with GlobeOp Financial Services for a short while before he joined Everest Group. He has also worked with AET Solutions looking after business development for a year, from 2004 to 2005. In the initial years of his professional journey, he spent about two years with DigitalThink as an analyst.

An alumnus of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, he did a BE in mechanical engineering and also completed an MBA in finance and marketing from the institute.

Arora celebrates two decades at Everest Group this year and brings a wealth of leadership experience from within the firm.

Peter Bendor-Samuel is confident, ““With Jimit Arora taking over as CEO, Everest Group is in the best possible hands. Jimit has been with Everest Group for the last two decades and has been instrumental in shaping the business that we are today. In his new role, Jimit is poised to build on the firm’s strong foundation, driving its growth into new markets, enhancing partnerships with clients and stakeholders, and nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence.”

He believes that Arora’s “deep understanding of the industry and vision for the future” will help Everest Group “consolidate itself as a dynamic and impactful force in the global market.”

He will continue to work alongside Arora, “ as we write the next chapter of our corporate history.”

Arora considers it “a huge privilege to be taking over the CEO position” from Bendor-Samuel with whom he shares a “passion for everything we have already achieved as a business and a shared belief and excitement in what we will achieve over the coming years.”

Arora takes the “responsibility of serving Everest Group’s existing and future members very seriously” and knows he has “amazing teams of analysts, functional and operational experts” to help him on this journey.
