Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) is marking International Women’s Day 2025 with a new global campaign called WomenAlly: Allies in Action. This initiative honors individuals—both within and outside the organisation—who actively support women, champion inclusion, and promote fairness in the workplace.

The company is launching this month-long initiative across Asia, Africa and Latin America. GCPL honors both women and the allies who support them in the workplace. The campaign spans countries such as India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Argentina and Chile.

The campaign will feature a series of events and activities designed to boost gender inclusion. A docu-film will soon be released to show how women are changing a male-dominated sales field. The film will share real-life stories of challenges and triumphs. Alongside this, the company will host panel discussions at its manufacturing sites, where the focus will be on the role of allies in creating supportive work environments.

In Mumbai, an event at Godrej One will celebrate the contributions of both women and their supporters. The initiative also includes a Family Outreach Programme, which acknowledges the families of women working in one of the toughest roles in FMCG—sales. The campaign will provide a platform to discuss future plans for programmea such as Godrej ki Shakti and Aarambh. These programmes aim to increase women’s participation in manufacturing and sales.

Vaibhav Ram, global head of human resources, GCPL, explained that their approach follows the United Nations’ pillars of rights, equality, and empowerment. He stated that true inclusion means creating spaces where everyone can thrive. He also noted that initiatives such as Godrej ki Shakti and Aarambh have thrived thanks to the support of many dedicated allies.

The docu-film will highlight the changing dynamics in the sales industry. It will show how women are breaking stereotypes and forging successful careers. Senior leaders are featured as mentors who help foster an environment that supports women’s progress. GCPL is proud to share these stories of change and determination.

In addition to these activities, GCPL will host the Shakti Summit, a two-day event at its Mumbai headquarters. This summit will bring together members of the Manufacturing Employee Resource Group. It will include panel discussions, wellness sessions, and personal branding workshops. The company also introduced Allyship Cards to recognise the support provided by over 170 families of women in sales.

Beyond the celebrations, GCPL’s parent company, Godrej Industries Group, continues to support its employees with progressive care policies. These include paid leave for elder care, generous leave for primary caregivers, and supportive policies for secondary caregivers. The goal is to help employees succeed both at work and at home.
