    Jindal Steel names Gautam Malhotra as CEO

    Malhotra has been a member of the supervisory advisory board at the company since May 2024

    After serving as a member of the Supervisory Advisory Board (SAB) at Jindal Steel since May 2024, Gautam Malhotra has now been appointed as chief executive officer (CEO)of the Indian integrated steel producing company.
    Armed with a BE in Computers from Savitribhai Phule University and an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School,  Gautam Malhotra spent the initial years of his career on various projects. First as an operations analyst on the Tehri Dam Project, then on a UNIDO project, followed by an M&A project at The Go-
    Ahead Group and also an international business project at DePuy International (Johnson & Johnson).
    From 2008 to 2018 he handled strategy, operations, sales, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and integration at a leading manufacturing company before joining Finocial Information Systems in 2019, as strategic advisor for over six and a half years. In this role, he has been successfully advising several companies and startups on their growth strategy, fund raise strategy and financial strategy. In 2017, Gautam Malhotra took on a similar role at FuelBuddy  where, for over eight years now, he has been helping build the company across India, the UAE, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
    It was in May of 2024 that he became a member of the SAB, Jindal Steel, which works closely with the business in all areas, including mining, production, HR, logistics, technology, AI adoption and sales.
