After a successful nine-year along association with NEC Corporation India, Kashish Kapoor has moved to Newgen Software as global chief human resources officer (GCHRO).
Kapoor began her professional journey with Modi Xerox as an executive, way back in 1994. She then served Essar Cellphone as assistant manager from 1997 to 2000.
Two and a half years later, she joined Oriflame India as branch head and spent over two years leading the complete gamut of HR activities. Her primary responsibility, however, was to attract and retain the best talent from the Industry, build staff motivation and commitment towards organisation, and thereby reduce attrition rate.
Her next stop was ING Vysya Life Insurance where she played resident area manager for over three years. She played HR generalist with focus on employee retention through performance management, recognition programmes, awards and spot bonuses.
IBM Global Process Services roped her in for the role of senior manager-HR in October of 2005. For a year after that she was associated with Cornell University, US, as a programme leader designing the onboarding and orientation programme. She dabbled in consulting for over two years, helping organisations design gender diversity initiatives and delivering diversity sensitisation programmes.
Kashish Kapoor’s association with NEC Corporation India began in May of 2017 when she took up the role of vice president-human resources. Eight years into this role, she was elevated to CHRO.
Now, in her latest assignment as global CHRO, Newgen, her track record of driving impactful change and fostering inclusive workplaces will definitely stand her in good stead.
HRKatha wishes Kashish Kapoor all the best!
