    Deepti Hegde is now director-HR, Teva Pharmaceuticals

    Deepti Hegde is now leading HR for Teva Pharmaceuticals, the Indian research and development organisation, as director-HR.

    Backed by almost two decades of experience, Deepti Hegde began her professional journey as a consultant with CHR Global, in 2007. Just over a year later, she moved to Larsen & Toubro, looking into leadership planning and talent acquisition. For the next eight and a half years, she served as the HR interface gaining exposure to partnering with business in the areas of HR operations, employee bonding, facilitating performance management, learning and development (L&D) , induction & integration and compensation & benefit.

    Hegde’s next stop was Dow, where she joined as HR business partner and talent acquisition lead -India, in June of 2016. Working out of Mumbai for over seven years, she played a significant role in the Dow DuPont merger, helping with the people transition. She was also part of the team to drive the global initiative of Enhance Employee Experience through digitalisation (workday implementation ). During this stint, Hegde was appointed as the operational excellence (OPEX) lead for the EMEAI region, responsible for redesigning HR governance, optimising workflows, and enabling service delivery transformation across markets.

    In August of 2023 she was elevated to HR business partner for India and sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, she successfully led the Ansol Gulf acquisition of Dow Southern Africa New Germany Plant, ensuring 100 per cent transition of assets, people and cost.

    August of 2025 saw her moving to Vodafone Idea where she played vice president-human resources for a while before switching to Teva Pharmaceuticals to take on the role of director-HR at the innovative biopharmaceutical company.

    Known for her passion for women’s leadership development and cross-talent movement, her experience and expertise will be an asset to Teva.
