VTP Realty in Pune marked Raksha Bandhan by bringing more than 350 employees together for a workplace celebration. The initiative, now in its second year, was designed especially for employees who may not have siblings to celebrate the festival with, giving them the chance to experience the warmth of Raksha Bandhan alongside their colleagues.
The event created a personal and inclusive space where women employees tied rakhis to male colleagues, symbolising care, respect, and togetherness. For some, the occasion carried deep emotional meaning. Employees who had never celebrated Raksha Bandhan with siblings were able to experience the tradition for the first time, making the day more than just a workplace event.
Senior leadership and the HR team joined the celebration, reinforcing the message that employee relationships go beyond professional roles. The programme also included a virtual interaction with Sadhvi Ishdarshana, who encouraged employees to nurture bonds of mutual respect and support.
The ceremony was followed by heartfelt exchanges of wishes and rakhis, with many employees describing the experience as genuine and emotionally significant.
For them, the celebration was not about formality but about feeling included and valued.
By organising this initiative, VTP Realty highlighted how employee engagement can extend beyond work milestones. Creating opportunities to celebrate traditions together helps build stronger connections, fosters belonging, and strengthens the sense of community at the workplace. For employees, the Raksha Bandhan celebration was a reminder that colleagues can become a second family, offering support and care that goes beyond everyday professional interactions.
