Voith Group, a global technology company, has appointed Rajashree Sengupta as the chief people officer (CPO). Gupta brings three decades of experience to the table.

This alumna of Delhi School of Social Work began her professional journey as a plant HR head with Samtel in 1995. She then moved to Hindustan Times as senior manager-HR, in 2004.

Her next stop was Bharti Airtel in April of 2006, as senior manager-training and organisation development. Over three years later, she switched to Alstom India as director-human resources.

August of 2014 saw her taking up the role of India head-learning and development at Alstom Power.

From November 2015 to September 2016, she was associated with GE.

It was in May of 2018 that Sengupta took over the role of director-human resources,  India at Stanley Black & Decker. Just over two years into this role, she was elevated to director-human resources, India and South East Asia.

After a successful stint of over eight years with the company, she has now moved to Voith Group, a company with a broad portfolio of systems, products, services and digital applications.

Sengupta believes her value, energy and humour come from the combination of being both business-oriented and human-oriented.

Her years of experience, encompassing the total employee life cycle, from talent acquisition, management, development, retention, as also strategic involvement with the business, will stand her in good stead in her new assignment.

HRKatha wishes Rajashree Sengupta all the best!!
