In a move to enhance employees’ technical skills and efficiency, Tata Motors Workers Union has announced the revival of the Multi Skill Beneficiary Plan. This announcement was made through a press release, signalling a renewed focus on employee development and operational excellence.
The company revealed that the union had been actively advocating for the reinstatement of this programme at both the Jamshedpur and Mumbai facilities. Initially introduced during the Covid-19 pandemic, the plan is designed to bolster the technical development and proficiency of Tata Motors’ workforce.

Sometime back, the company highlighted its bit to develop a future-ready workforce equipped with the skills required for electric vehicles (EVs) and other new-age technologies. The company announced that it will equip 50 per cent of its workforce with new-age auto tech capabilities within five years.
In a media briefing, the company revealed that its employees had invested over 3,40,000 hours in specialised training and development. Additionally, the training was to be delivered in various forms and formats.
