In a move aimed at enhancing organisational activities efficiency and security, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) of Kuwait has announced a new regulation. The new rule requires all employees to prominently display their work identification cards during official working hours. This rule will take effect on 1 September, 2024.
According to the circular issued by Salah Khaled Al-Saqabi , undersecretary for financial and administrative affairs, , employees who do not currently possess a work ID must submit a personal photograph. They must also provide a copy of their civil ID to the Administrative Affairs Department. Following this submission, each employee will receive an ID holder to ensure proper display of their identification.
The directive also underscores the necessity for employees to cooperate with security and safety officers by showing their IDs upon request.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in appropriate actions being taken. This initiative is part of the CSC’s ongoing efforts to streamline work procedures and uphold Bureau standards.
The implementation of this measure is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of administrative processes and enhance overall security within government offices and public institutions across Kuwait.
