    Akasa Air is hiring cabin crew and others

    With plans to commence operations within a couple of weeks, Akasa Air is on a hiring spree.

    The full-time jobs being offered are based in Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.

    Having received its air operator certificate (AOC) from the civil aviation regulator, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Airline’s post on Twitter announced, that it was looking for its “next Akasian”.

    “It’s your sky. Apply now,” said the post.

    Claiming to be the country’s “youngest and greenest airline”, the Airline, of which Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, the billionaire and stocks trader, is one of the major investors, is looking to start flying commercially with two aircraft.

    It is willing to hire freshers as well as experienced cabin crew.

    It recently revealed its crew uniform and assures interested candidates of “a culture that places extraordinary emphasis on inclusion, genuineness, and mutual respect”.

    The available vacancies are for cabin crew (both freshers and experienced), doctor manager (medical services), executive (accounts payable), B-737 qualified SEP instructor (approved by DGCA), first aid instructor, crew resource management (CRM) facilitator, SME B-737 qualified technical and performance subjects, ground instructor and so on.

    Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has reportedly put in $50 million in Akasa Air for a 40 per cent shareholding. Aditya Ghosh, who was formerly associated with IndiGo as the president and whole-time director for a decade, is also a co-founder of the airline.
