Data and analytics company, Ugam, part of Japanese ad agency, Dentsu Group, is looking to expand its 3,000-strong workforce by taking on about 1,300 techies and analytics professionals. The Company, which has Sunil Mirani as co-founder and chief executive, hired more than 1,200 in the last seven months.
The Coimbatore-based firm is on the lookout for talent in the fields of research, analytics, cloud, and marketing technology.
Ugam, was taken over by Merkle, the US-based data and analytics business arm of Dentsu Aegis Network two years ago.
By taking on new hires, the firm hopes to meet the surging demand for expertise to help companies in their digital transformation journeys across industries. The new hires will include software engineers, analysts, technical architects and technical leads, among others.

Merkle, which took over Ugam, is a data-driven, technology-enabled, global performance marketing agency dedicated to customer experience management.
Within Merkle, Ugam has been focussing on leveraging analytics and technology to drive customer experience transformations. It is known for its expertise in experience management and cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud, Adobe and AWS.
With at least a 100 Fortune 500 firms from varied sectors, such as finance, banking, retail, consulting, market research and high-tech among others on its client list, Ugam is dedicated to helping global corporations transform digitally.
