In a strategic move towards establishing a professionally managed and unified organisational structure, the Board of Directors of Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has given the green light to elevate Mr. Tarun Khulbe as the Chief Executive Officer & Whole Time Director. The decision underscores Mr. Khulbe’s exceptional leadership skills, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to core values.

JSL, on the verge of a transformative phase of growth and expansion, requires heightened engagement from Managing Director Mr. Abhyuday Jindal in the strategic vision of the company. Mr. Jindal, serving as the Whole Time Director since May 2018, will continue in this role alongside his new position as CEO, overseeing corporate affairs, sales and marketing, strategic initiatives, and subsidiaries.

A seasoned industry veteran with approximately 35 years of experience, Mr. Khulbe has been instrumental in expanding businesses and driving the profitable growth of JSL. Over his nearly 20-year tenure at JSL, he has garnered a comprehensive exposure to all aspects of operations, business development, supply chain management, people practices, and IT enablement. Notably, he led JSL through its recent and previous expansion initiatives and played a pivotal role in the operational turnaround of the Jajpur facility, a significant factor in the company’s subsequent financial turnaround.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, stated, “Mr. Khulbe’s experience, spanning the shop floor to the boardroom, makes him the perfect choice for the position of CEO. His adeptness in crafting long-term business strategies and fortifying operational and sales facets has been commendable. With the company expanding and strengthening its upstream and downstream linkages, having Mr. Khulbe at the helm is crucial to our growth plans.”

Expressing his enthusiasm over the elevation, Mr. Tarun Khulbe, CEO, Jindal Stainless, remarked, “It’s a matter of pride and privilege to lead this esteemed organisation. The last two decades have been inspiring and enriching. I have been entrusted with complex assignments, from operations and expansion to business development and digitalisation. I feel truly rewarded for my efforts and look forward to driving the company and its workforce to new horizons of growth.”

Mr. Khulbe joined JSL in 2004 as a General Manager for the Cold Rolling Mills at Hisar, Haryana. His comprehensive exposure to operations led to his appointment as the head of stainless steel operations in 2012. Later, he assumed the role of Director and Chief Operating Officer for JSL. His career began with Raymond Steel, later merging into ThyssenKrupp, providing him with rich industrial experience spanning India and Germany. He is an engineering graduate from MITS, Gwalior, and holds an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
