Over 10,000 vacancies will be filled across government departments in Telangana, as per the Government of Telangana’s latest directives.

These vacancies are in addition to the 35,220 vacancies that were notified earlier by the State Finance Department, of which over 6,000 vacancies were to be filled by the Telangana State Public Service Commission(TSPSC)

Of the recently-announced 10,000+ vacancies, 995 posts will be filled via TSPSC, while 9096 will be filled through Telangana Residential Educational Institutions Recruitment Board (TREIRB) and 14 through the District Selection Committee (DSC).

In total, 45,325 vacancies have been announced across various departments, by the Government of Telangana so far.

The job scene is looking bright in the state now, especially in the IT space. As per a recent report, employment in the IT/ITeS sector has gone up by 23.78 per cent and has gone well beyond 7,78,000 in the 2021-2022 period.

Across the country, NASSCOM estimates that about 4.5 lakh new employment opportunities were created in the IT sector. Of these, Telangana accounted for one third in the IT Sector.

In 2014, when the state came into being, there were about 3,23,396 jobs in the IT/ ITeS sector. Today, this number has gone up to beyond 7,78,000 in the sector.
