There is good news for job seekers in Hyderabad and nearby areas of Warangal and Karimnagar in Telangana, and Guntur and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. [24]7.ai, the US-based customer engagement solutions company, is gearing to expand its team in Hyderabad, which began operations about 18 years ago.

The Company will add at least 500 people in the next four months, and by March 2023, it hopes to add another 800. The new hires will be working at [24]7.ai’s centre in NSL SEZ, Uppal.

The global workforce strength of the Company is about 17,000 people, with at least 7,500 of them based in India and working from either Hyderabad or Bengaluru.

The Hyderabad team offers chat and voice-based services to lend support to the sales, customer service and technical teams of Fortune 500 companies across the globe. It serves companies in the retail, telecom, technology and healthcare sectors.

Ever since the pandemic struck, the employees of [24]7.ai have been working seamlessly from anywhere. Right now, about 85 per cent of its workforce is working remotely. In the next year or two, these figures may change, with more people returning to office.

Over the past year and a half, the number of women employees has increased from 29 per cent to 34. The Company hopes to improve this figure further.

Efforts are on to set up smaller centres across India, with staff of about 50 to 100, which can then grow into full-fledged centres in the coming future. A smaller micro centre is already up in Shillong.
