After having signed an MoU with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) recently —to extend its online MCA course to the graduate trainees at its offices in Chennai and Bengaluru — Altimetrik, the US-based technology company, has now inaugurated a new office in Chennai.
With 80 per cent of its global workforce working out of India, it is not surprising that the tech firm is working towards taking its employee strength to 6,000 in the country.
Its employees prefer a flexible model of work with most willing to come in to office once a week and others wanting to work from office for one whole week every month, as was learnt from an internal survey.
Therefore, the digital business-enablement company aims to follow a structured hybrid working model with employees coming in on certain days and working from home on others. The company feels the hybrid arrangement will work to its advantage, as it fosters an agile work culture focussed on collaboration and practitioner-led engineering. This will, it is hoped, offer them work-life balance even while allowing them to produce quality solutions for its clients.
The workforce strength of the Company has grown 115 per cent over the last two years.
In addition to Chennai, Altimetrik has offices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Jaipur. It is considering opening offices in Kolkata, Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram too, so that employees can enjoy the convenience of working from a location closest to their homes.
