Engineering services firm, Aricent, which employs over 11,000 engineers, has joined hands with NASSCOM Foundation to provide employability skills training to engineering undergraduates, across Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Around 2500 college students are expected to benefit from this upskilling exercise, which will be delivered through vocational training providers and governed by the NASSCOM Foundation.
This on-campus programme will equip students, in select cities and colleges, with skills in specialised areas, such as JAVA, testing and software development, among others, enabling them to find employment across the IT-BPM industry.
The programme will be assisted by two training partners, iPRIMED and Global Talent Track, to carry out on-campus skill development. The training will be delivered through a series of online and classroom sessions, including project work and learning events like project competitions, tech talks and industry leadership talks.
It will culminate in a joint certification from the NASSCOM Sector Skills Council (NASSCOM SSC), Aricent, Training Partners and NASSCOM Foundation. The students will also be given placement assistance at the end of the course, through regular job fairs and campus connect programmes conducted by NASSCOM Foundation and the training partners.
This programme will also train the students in oral and written communication, business etiquettes, problem solving, time management, customer orientation, interview skills and other soft skills required to enhance their employment opportunities.
The candidates will be asessed on the NDSC-SSC NASSCOM Qualification Parameters(QP) and certified on the relevant job role , enhaning the chances of employment.

The vocational training curriculum content will be developed by the training providers in collaboration with Aricent, and be aligned to NASSCOM SSC’s QPs. The NASSCOM Foundation will be responsible for utilising the funds, monitoring the implementation and CSR impact, reporting, and also governing the success metrics for the project.
