Having joined Amazon as a frontend engineer, Anurag Makade is probably the most excited fresher today. He has been offered a salary package of Rs 1.25 crore. Clearly, attractive packages are not restricted to students of the Indians Institutes of Technology (IIT) or the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) or even the National Institute of Technology (NIT). Makade is one of the five students who were offered jobs with annual salary package of Rs 1 crore plus.

Makade is a BTech student from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad. He interned as an analyst with American Express and also cure-fit.

Makade’s job is a full-time one which requires him to be work out of Amazon’s office in Dublin, Ireland.

Pratham Prakash Gupta, another student of IIIT was offered a salary package of Rs 1.4 crore from Google, while Palak Mittal has also been hired by Amazon at a package of more than Rs 1 crore per annum. Akhil Singh, yet another IIIT student has joined Rubrik at a salary package of Rs 1.2 crore.

Earlier this month, Rashi Bagga of the International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur — which was formally known as Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur — bagged a salary package of Rs 85 lakhs per annum from a multinational company. This same multinational had offered Chinky Karda from IIIT-NR an annual package of Rs 57 lakh per annum last year, which was then the highest package offered to the batch.
