Piramal Enterprises (PEL) as well as K Raheja Corp have announced that they will cover the cost of COVID-19 vaccination for all their employees.

Virtual vaccine helpdesks have been established across all Piramal offices in India to give out information and answer the queries of employees. All employees as well as their immediate dependents’ vaccination cost will be covered. Employees are free to either choose or not choose to get inoculated. Like Nandini Piramal, executive director, Piramal Enterprises, said, the Company is committed to “ensuring the wellbeing and welfare” of its employees who are its most valued assets. Therefore, PEL is “happy to absorb the cost of the COVID-19 vaccination, as well as to support them through the process, should they choose to get vaccinated.”

In line with the Company’s philosophy of ‘Doing Well and Doing Good’, it will bear the vaccination cost of about 27000 employees and their families.

At the K Raheja Group too, the vaccination cost of all the employees across the real-estate group’s offices in India will be borne by the Company. While it is entirely up to the employees to get vaccinated, the Company is encouraging its employees to get inoculated, so that the country can be safer.

Urvi Aradhya, chief human resource officer, K Raheja Corp, says, “The health and safety of our employees has always been paramount for us. We are encouraging our people to get vaccinated for their safety as well as that of their families and colleagues at work. As we get ready to gradually scale up the headcount at work, in tandem with the Government mandates, we are going the extra mile to ensure the best interest of our people.”
