L&T launches career re-entry programme for women

The ‘renew’ programme will give opportunities to women professionals on a break

Larsen and Toubro (L&T) is all set to recruit women professionals who have taken a career break under its latest ‘Renew: Career Re-entry for Women’ initiative.

This is the Company’s way of furthering its diversity agenda and offering equal opportunities to all.

Women candidates who have a BE/BTech/MBA/ LLB may apply. Those who have cleared their CA, ICWA (cleared in 2 attempts) may also apply. Posts are available in the areas of audit, accounting, finance, engineering, design, project management, information technology, human resource management, legal, as well as the corporate social responsibility department.

Those interested may register themselves on the official website and upload an updated resume. After an initial screening in consultation with the respective departments, the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed over telephone and then called for a personal interview, where the heads of departments and hiring managers will be involved.

Last month, Wipro had also launched a ‘Begin Again’ programme on similar lines, to give a chance for women professionals to get back into the active workforce after a break. The objective was again to provide opportunities for talented women who are often forced to take a career break because of motherhood or because of caregiving requirements or family commitments or other personal circumstances.

The programme offered structured learning and enablement programmes, integrated framework for smooth transition as well as a buddy programme to help them with doubts and queries.
