Future Generali India Insurance (FGII) has inaugurated ‘Shakti,’ its first all-women branch in Kochi, reinforcing its commitment to gender inclusivity and workforce empowerment. This move aligns with the company’s long-term vision of creating a diverse and inclusive work environment while enhancing customer service.
With this initiative, it aims to provide expert insurance solutions while increasing the representation of women in the financial services industry. The company plans to replicate this model in other key cities to create a stronger, more inclusive workforce.
The name ‘Shakti’ symbolises strength, resilience and empowerment. The Kochi branch is staffed by an initial team of 12 women, with plans to expand further.
Speaking at the launch, Anup Rau, MD & CEO of FGII, said, “On this International Women’s Day, we are proud to launch ‘Shakti,’ our first all-women branch in Kochi. This initiative aims to inspire more women to join the insurance and financial services sector while fostering the next generation of women leaders at FGII.”
Future Generali has been actively working towards becoming an inclusive insurer, employer, and corporate citizen. As an insurer, the company designs customised solutions for diverse customer segments, no matter how small. As an employer, FGII continues to empower women in leadership and operational roles, creating a more empathetic and effective workforce.
Furthermore, the company has introduced HEALTH POWHER, a comprehensive health insurance plan designed to support women at various life stages.
The all-women branch aims to set a benchmark for inclusivity while improving customer experience and engagement. FGII is focused on expanding its presence in key regions to provide accessible, inclusive insurance solutions across India.
Recently, FGII achieved a major milestone in its DEI journey—one per cent of its workforce now comprises Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
