HCLTech, a global technology firm, is strengthening its presence in Hyderabad with the launch of a state-of-the-art tech centre. The facility will create 5,000 new job opportunities and enhance the city’s reputation as a global IT hub.
The announcement was made during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. During the meeting, HCLTech’s CEO and managing director discussed the expansion plans with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu.
The new centre will be located in Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City, covering 3,20,000 square feet. It will focus on delivering advanced cloud, AI, and digital transformation solutions to global clients in industries such as hi-tech, life sciences, and financial services. The facility also holds Gold Certification from the Indian Green Building Council, highlighting HCLTech’s dedication to sustainable operations.
This expansion marks another milestone for HCLTech, which has operated in Hyderabad since 2007. With this new addition, the company will have five centres in the city, further solidifying its commitment to the region.
The Telangana government has welcomed the initiative, emphasising its ongoing efforts to build a robust technology ecosystem. Officials are also encouraging companies such as HCLTech to extend their presence to tier 2 and tier 3 cities to create more opportunities for local talent.
Hyderabad continues to attract global IT giants with its infrastructure, talent pool, and innovation-friendly policies. The new HCLTech centre is set to play a key role in driving the city’s growth as a technology powerhouse.
