AscentHR has acquired APAC payroll specialist OS HRS to accelerate its growth across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

While AscentHR is a provider of HCM, payroll, compliance and workforce solutions, OS HRS is an APAC-focussed payroll-outsourcing firm with delivery hubs in Malaysia, Japan and India.

The deal, closed in June 2026, involved AscentHR acquiring 100 per cent of OS HRS Malaysia, OS HRS Japan, and OS HRS India from BREXA Inc., formerly Outsourcing Inc., headquartered in Tokyo. Financial terms were not revealed.

The acquisition marks a major step in AscentHR’s regional strategy. It extends the company’s payroll delivery, compliance capabilities, and in-country presence to markets including India, China, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore and several other APAC and MEA countries.

OS HRS has over 20 years of experience providing multi-country payroll outsourcing. The company serves global and Fortune 500 clients through operating centres in Malaysia, Japan and India, delivering payroll processing, statutory compliance, reporting and regulatory management.

For AscentHR, the transaction is expected to almost double its revenue and broaden its customer base across the region.

Subramanyam S, founder & CEO of AscentHR, described the acquisition as an important milestone in the company’s effort to build a leading payroll and workforce solutions platform across Asia-Pacific. He further noted that OS HRS was known for its quality payroll services, strong compliance expertise, and customer support.

He added that combining AscentHR’s technology and managed services with OS HRS’ regional expertise will create a stronger platform to serve multinational enterprises.

The integration will proceed in phases to ensure business continuity for clients, staff and partners.
