The first batch, comprising 1500 Airports Authority of India (AAI) employees, will receive theory and practical sessions.
NIIT will train over 5,000 Airports Authority of India (AAI) employees on computers and the Internet. The two companies have signed a formal agreement according to which NIIT will impart training to the employees of AAI in MS-Office and Internet & System introduction.
NIIT will provide both theory and hands-on practical sessions to the students. The first batch will comprise 1500 employees from AAI.
The instructor-led training programme will be delivered in English across various AAI centres in the country.
The duration for each batch will be 5 days, with 8 hour sessions per day.
Rajiv Goel, executive director, training, AAI, says, “the training will be imparted to the group A, B & C category of employees to make them computer savvy and to ensure better efficiency / productivity at the workplace.”
Anuj Aggarwal, member (HR), AAI, emphasized on the need for upgradation of computer skills of the AAI employees for successful implementation of e-governance initiatives and to make a beginning towards digital literacy, as part of the Digital India campaign.
He further stated that the focus of AAI management is to provide competency-based training to its employees to ensure quality services to its stakeholders.
