Nokia has announced a new leadership model for India, appointing Samar Mittal as India country business leader and Vibha Mehra as India country manager, effective 1 April 2026. The move reflects Nokia’s long-term commitment to India and its ambition to play a leading role in shaping a more digital and sustainable future.
Samar Mittal will focus on executing Nokia’s go-to-market strategy in India. His role includes building stronger ties with telecom providers, AI and cloud companies, and mission-critical enterprises. He will also align Nokia’s portfolio with the evolving needs of the Indian market, capturing new growth opportunities and strengthening partnerships.
Vibha Mehra will lead Nokia’s overall presence in India. She will drive communications, government relations, and public engagement. Her responsibilities also include shaping the India site strategy, advancing employee initiatives, and steering corporate social responsibility priorities to ensure Nokia is recognized as a trusted technology leader.
Mittal brings nearly three decades of experience in telecom and IT, having held senior sales leadership roles across India, Malaysia, and Dubai. Most recently, he led Nokia’s Cloud and Network Services business in the Middle East and Africa.
Mehra has over 26 years of experience in government relations and corporate affairs, having worked with Microsoft, Intel, and TCS before joining Nokia. She previously led Nokia’s geopolitics and government relations function across Asia Pacific.
Together, the two leaders will strengthen Nokia’s impact in India, advancing connectivity and innovation while ensuring the company remains deeply engaged with both industry and society.
