Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) has unveiled its state-of-the-art R&D facility in Bengaluru, emphasising the company’s dedication to pioneering semiconductor research and development in India. Highlighting the hiring aspect, SSIR is set to reinforce its team, currently consisting of over 4,000 to 4500 employees.
The expansion plan includes bringing in over 700 new hires, comprising both fresh graduates and experienced professionals across various teams in India. This move reflects SSIR’s commitment to fostering a vibrant work environment and contributing to its global innovation ecosystem.
Additionally, the expansion is a significant move to address the growing demands for advanced infrastructure, solidifying SSIR’s commitment to the region.
This new Bengaluru facility, SSIR’s second in the city, is spread over 1,60,000 square feet across four floors at Bagmane Capital Tech Park in Angkor-West. With a capacity to accommodate almost 1,600 professionals, the focus is on creating a collaborative and agile environment for cutting-edge work in semiconductor technology.
Balajee Sowrirajan, EVP & MD, Samsung Semiconductor India Research, expressed excitement about the new facility. He highlighted how the new facility embodies the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint in India and enabling a vibrant environment for its exceptional team members.
