    Alkem Laboratories appoints Rahul Vijayvargiya as SVP-HR

    Vijayvargiya joins Alkem from Reliance Retail, where he served as head of human resources for the pharma retail division

    Alkem Laboratories is pleased to announce the appointment of Rahul Vijayvargiya as senior vice president, human resources. With over two decades of HR experience across diverse industries in India and international markets, Rahul brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.

    Vijayvargiya joins Alkem from Reliance Retail, where he served as head of human resources for the pharma retail division. A company post on LinkedIn highlighted his extensive experience and leadership skills, stating, “His vast experience and leadership skills are a perfect fit for Alkem, and we are excited about the innovative contributions he will bring.”

    A seasoned HR professional, Vijayvargiya has extensive experience managing the full spectrum of HR activities across multiple geographies, including India, the Middle East, and Africa. His career spans various industry verticals, such as automobile, HR consultancy, retail, and pharma, with a primary focus on the pharma and retail sectors.

    Vijayvargiya began his career with Ma Foi Randstad but quickly moved to Shoppers Stop after one year. He subsequently worked with Future Group, which owned Big Bazaar outlets, and later joined Aditya Birla Group’s retail business. In 2021, he transitioned to the pharma industry, joining Pfizer and later moving to Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. Most recently, he spent around three years with Reliance Retail’s pharma division before joining Alkem Laboratories.

    Vijayvargiya’s extensive background and leadership in HR will be instrumental in driving Alkem Laboratories’ human resources strategies and fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture.
